Planning

Planning for the parish of Parracombe comes under Exmoor National Park. Planning advice, policy and other resources can be found at http://www.exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk/planning.

Exmoor National Park has 16 Conservation Areas of which Parracombe is one.  Areas designated for their ‘special architectural and historic interest’, conservation areas have certain additional planning controls.  Generally these are very similar to those that apply across the whole of the National Park, however if your property is within the conservation area you will need to apply for planning permission for demolition and give notice of works to trees.

You can find out more at the gov.uk planning portal regard to demolition advice and for trees please see Guidance Notes on Works_to_trees on gov.uk site.
