Linda Blanchard was quite taken by an old homemade gate latch on the path from Parracombe down to the Heddon Valley, just where you come from the last field to join the steep track. It looks as if it has been put together from old bits of ironmongery and may had a little bit of home blacksmithing. Impossible to say how old it is but it is great to see that it was re-used on the new gate. A little bit of Parracombe heritage survives.
