After the village meeting held on 5th October, the village hall Working Group has been working hard to take all the information collected from our consultation process and, working with our architect, hone this down into a preferred scheme that we hope to take forward to a planning application. This process has focussed upon all the feedback we have received from Parracombe residents as well as insights gained from recent renovation projects at other nearby village halls.
We are now holding a “drop-in” session at the village hall on Tuesday 20th December (any time between 3.00pm to 7.00pm) when anyone with an interest in the future development of the hall can view the preferred scheme details, ask questions of members of the working group, and provide feedback and comment. It is imperative that the overwhelming majority of residents are in favour of the preferred scheme if we are to take it forward to planning.
For those that may not be able to attend on Tuesday 20th, we will also be showing the scheme details at the Christmas Cheer event on Monday 19th, and again at the Santa Paws event on Wednesday 21st. It’s probably as well to remind ourselves at this stage, that the hard work of raising the necessary grant funding to actually go ahead and do the building work on the hall is still ahead of us.
