The Village Hall strategic development group met on Tuesday 10th, again with our architect Richard Satterly to progress the Building Control application for the hall refurbishment.
We have approved the appointment of a structural engineer to provide the necessary calculations for Building Control and we have also approved appointment of a quantity surveyor to give a detailed cost breakdown of the project.
Our architects have worked up the approved plans ready for submission to Building Control and we expect submission to be made once the structural engineer’s report is completed, which should be sometime in October.
The funding team has been joined by Stewart Wallis who lives at Brakebrook. Stewart has a wealth of experience in business, community action and fundraising and will be a really valuable addition to the team.
